Join us to celebrate Winooski’s Onion Fest at the Winooski Farmers Market! Coming from the Abenaki ‘Winoskitekw,’ meaning ‘onion land river,’ Winooski is known as Vermont’s Onion City. We’re excited to celebrate our roots with this Onion Festival!
During Onion Fest, come into the Mill Museum gallery in the Champlain Mill to make a clothespin doll for our Mandala Community Weaving project and add a ribbon for what you love about Winooski.
This will also be the last day to see our Community Fiber Arts exhibition which features Story Quilts by local seniors and Knitted blankets from our Stitch Together program in collaboration with AALV’s Women’s Cafe group.
